Our Services
As part of its Assistive Technology Services, IATP provides free comprehensive Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) evaluations to children and young adults (ages 3-22) with an Illinois IEP and/or 504 Plan through its grant with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Along with evaluations, we provide free AT/AAC training to students, school personnel, and families.
Our device loan program bridges the gap in student learning while waiting for devices to be ordered and delivered, as other devices are being repaired, and for trialing new devices without significant monetary investment to the local educational agency. All loans are free of charge for 6-weeks. The equipment comes to the school with a paid shipping label to send the items back to IATP at the end of the 6-week period. IATP does not sell assistive technology devices or endorse particular products.
