The front office is OPEN to the public at this time but all services require an appointment. IATP is following the Governor’s Tier 3 Phase 4 Mitigation plan currently in effect and adheres to all CDC and Illinois state guidelines. Any one entering the building must wear a mask. At this time, we highly encourage contacting us in advance before coming to the office. We continue to alter operations to reduce the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus for all individuals. The information below will be continually updated as things change. Please contact us with any questions.
Illinois CARE Connections
For all program updates, please visit the Illinois CARE Connections webpage.
When possible and appropriate, IATP will make every attempt to fill customer’s requests to borrow Assistive Technology devices and reused Durable Medical Equipment (DME). Arrangements will be made to ship the equipment to the customer’s home. Customers picking up reused DME will have to follow the CDC’s recommendation of social distancing of no less than 6 feet and transfer of equipment will take place outside to ensure safety for both staff and customers. It is recommended that if you are in need of equipment that you contact the office and speak to IATP’s Reuse staff so specific arrangements for a no contact transfer can be accomplished.
Assistive Technology Demonstration Center
In-person device demonstrations are being conducted on-site in the IATP demonstration center for groups of three or less when scheduled in advance. Demonstrations conducted via video conferencing can also be arranged by contacting IATP. Contact us for more information.
IATP is accepting donations of used Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and/or Assistive Technology Devices that are gently used and in good working order. Arrangements must be made in advance for a no-contact exchange. All equipment should be cleaned and sanitized beforehand. Contact us for more information and to make arrangements.
Financial Loan Customers
Support and repayment options are available for our loan customers who are experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. Please contact us if you need to defer loan payments. AT loans for new customers are available and being processed in a timely manner. Please call with any questions.
Onsite AT Assessments for VR Customers
IATP is conducting in-person and remote assessments to fulfill customer’s needs following CDC guidelines on utilizing Personal Protective Equipment. Home assessments are also being conducted. Some assessments only require outside access. If in-home access is necessary, it is up to the customer whether or not they wish to have that service. Please contact us for more information.
We want to assure staff, families, and students that IATP’s ISBE 3-21 Evaluation program is available to conduct AT and AAC evaluations throughout the state of Illinois for the 2020-21 school year.
